Converting x264 file into .avi or xvid or divx? No we haven't discus abou it properly

  1. #1
    Okay!
So who knows how to convert .x264 file into .avi or xvid or even divx format? Anyone who knows how to do this and helps me in this process you would be really thankful to the whole bwtorrent community. You would owe us a lot. No one has yet come up with the right answer.

Some suggested me to use SUPER software but it never worked. Those who suggested me don't know a s*** about it. All they say is it's already been discussed so don't post any more threads like this. Well I am asking you which thread has answered my question? I haven't seen a single post describing me how to convert .x264 file into .avi or xvid or even divx format.

I am looking for the right software. some help me please (and others like me).

tell me how do you playback your x264 file ....
    what decoder did you use?
which media player did you use?

    scorpio

Simply use VLC player. It's free and it works the best.

  4. #4
OK, that's explain why you failed using Super.
Next tell me more about the x264 file. What container does it use "avi", "mp4" or "mkv" and the what is the audio codec "aac 48000" or "aac 24000". Use MediaInfo (get it here LINK) to get the Media Information and post it back here.

Next download and install ffdshow and make sure you have the H.264 codec is set to "libavcodec" under the ffdshow video encoder configuration.

Not sure but as x264 codec normally outputs to an MP4 container with an AAC Audio Stream and both are highly supported by Nero - Have u tried Nero Vision?

  7. ya..it worked for me ! BUT INSTALL QUICK TIME FIRST

for the most simple process use VLC Media Player !! ya ... VLC CAN convert all files which it can open ... once opend thru file--->open file , select the Stream/save and goto settings , there check the file box and browse and give output file location , name and extension ... select container , select video codec , select audio codec and done !!!! hit ok then to everyone ... after that , VLC will ""play"" the file once ( no no , u wont see a thing playing ) and done ... the codecs and container of ur choice will be done !!!!!

yes ... u will have to play the file once ... just like its playing normally .... except the fact that it wont be playing actually .. it will be gettin transcoded !! ... its VLC's way converting things haha ...

and u will have to set DIV1 or DIV2 i think ... audio codec should be kept normal like mp3 ...

give it a try ... i dont know this excatly ... but this should be played in ur DVD player i guess ...
