I think this might be the quickest I've liked an AR Rahman song in a long time. Its definitely the music.

Right? I heard the tune in the trailer and I knew it would be a great song already. And when I heard the whole thing, surprisingly, I liked it on the first listen! I haven't liked an ARR song right away since like 2008/2009 when JTYJN, Ghajini, and Blue came out.

They were so many movies or actors that won awards undeserved, that was not a big surprise for me. Awards not always are making justice.
An ex : that girl from Dabangg...for 3 lines she's was taking awards ...nor acting, nor facial grims...nothing ...but she was part of Dabangg.f I'm a big fan of Salman, but that movie, and the next ones : Ready & Bodyguard, I really didn't like. So awards, doesn't change a thing to me.

But there have something if a guy win both view choice and critic award.

I think a few people will always disagree about how well of a performance Ranbir Kapoor gave in Rockstar. I think those people are basing their opinion on the movie (which, we all know kinda fell apart in the second half), and not Ranbir's acting alone.
And those same people will always bring up the same 3 movies to back their argument: Dabangg, Bodyguard, and Ready. Those people also fail to understand that those movies were solely made for commercial success, rather than some spectacle of cinema.
Personally, I think Bollywood awards don't really mean much when they make up fake categories just so certain movies can be awarded, and when they give awards to certain actors, who obviously didn't deserve them (and may or may not have "bought" them).
However, Ranbir Kapoor was awarded by the public and by critics. And that definitely stands for something, despite the fact that the jury can be biased sometimes. If you look at the grand scheme of things, his performance was by far the best one that whole year.
So, with that in mind, I think it's justified that Ranbir got awards from both viewers and critics. Obviously, Ranbir will never be universally liked. But in my opinion, he's easily one of the top 3 actors today. Based on his performance in Barfi!, I'd even say he's #1 right now.

What the crap? Actors don't act in trailers or music video? They never overdo it? You have to watch the entire movie to judge someone's acting/dance in a music video?

I am also talking about particular song. You have no idea about his characters background in the movie. May be he has too much attitude , may be ego problem ? etc. You see what I am saying ? You can judge a person in a first meet same rule applies here, you cant judge the acting from a small clip.

It does not matter what his character is, he will be SRK. Only thing is now he is looking awkward doing that Guitar thing , comes across as a wannabe. When in fact he could have done something more classy and be cool rather than trying hard to look hipster.

Song is double fun if you just listen to it without watching the video!

Yeah, basically what xpozed and ooak said. He's trying too hard. And since when did a character's background have anything to do with a song? The majority of songs in movies don't portray the character in their skin.
The character is always doing stupid things like running around in a field of flowers and dancing in a club with strangers who somehow perfectly choreographed a dance. Come on man, a character's background is pretty irrelevant.
