Yash Chopra's Upcoming Movie - Jab Tak Hai Jaan

MUMBAI: Filmmaker Yash Chopra has finally locked a name for his new directorial. The Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma-starrer love triangle is titled “Jab Tak Hai Jaan”.

The title seems to have been inspired from a song of the same name from the 1975 hit film “Sholay”.

The official announcement of the title was made Tuesday, following months of speculation that it would be called “London Ishq” or “Yaara Silli Silli”.

“Jab Tak Hai Jaan” marks the directorial comeback of Chopra, who last helmed the 2004 Shah Rukh, Rani Mukerji and Preity Zinta starrer cross-border romance “Veer-Zaara”.

In the new film, Shah Rukh is said to be playing an army officer named Samar, as suggested by first look pictures from the film’s shooting in Ladakh in the Jammu and Kashmir region.

The crew has also shot in London and were shooting in the scenic Kashmir Valley till last week.

The film’s poster gives a sneak peek into Katrina’s feminine look in the film, while it shows Anushka as a rough and tough girl, riding a bike. Shah Rukh sports two looks – a romantic, clean shaven hero look, and another, a grungy, bearded look.

“Jab Tak Hai Jaan” has also brought together the award-winning pair of A.R. Rahman and Gulzar, who are said to have created some wonderful and poetic music for this romantic film.

The movie is set to release this Diwali, Nov 13.

I think it's a very ordinary title, considering the hype and built-up. Also, does the title suggest that GrK might die in the end.. turning it into a tear jerker for women and hence, a blockbuster?

The only thing I am looking forward to is the music.. and it is rumored to be released on Sept. 27th on Yash Raj's Birthday. But it is also confirmed that the theatrical trailer of the movie will release on that day.. so I doubt the music will be out until Mid-October.

Only thing i look forward to in this movie is the music, i'm sure its going to be superb! the poster looks lame though...

Do none of you think before you start instigating and bashing others? I just said that the title is very ordinary and since its literal translation is 'Till I die,' it foreshadows the hero dying in the end.. blame YRF for picking a title which is so obvious and easy to figure out. History has shown that time and again whenever GrK dies in the end, it turns into a blockbuster.. hence, the latter comment.

Besides, it's just my opinion and speculation, i didn't bash on the story, title or the actor. You guys need to go watch DDLJ and spread some love around.

All Abhinav's comment indicated was that the title sucks.. I did not read anywhere that he indicated the movie sucks because of the title.

I suggest you read his opinion again. From where I am it looks like he said the movie may suck because of the suggested story line based on past performances.

Or it could be about love. Instead of him dying at the end, maybe he gets separated from whomever his first love is, and Jab Tak Hai Jaan means that he will love the first person until he dies?
Makes more sense right now than him dying especially since the 2nd poster is talking about the the girl's looks.


And actually, you did bash the actor. You said GrK.
